Let’s start together into the future of the construction industry!

Ralf Pfefferkorn

Ralf Pfefferkorn

Ralf as CEO is primarily responsible for sales and product specification. The contact to construction companies and cooperation partners in order to find the right solutions for today’s challenges is particularly important to him. However, he does not miss the production of our systems, where he often spends hours in the workshop.

Raphael Ott

Sensors and data. These are the areas in which Raphael is especially busy. He likes to do research in the field of artificial intelligence for data processing and is intensively involved with all interfaces to our sensors. But he is also always on the spot when it comes to press releases or other publications.

Bernhard Gantner

Bernhard deals a lot with the design and development of our mechanics in his position as Head of Hardware. In particular, he takes care of the necessary steps for certifications and, on the technical side, looks after the integration of new assistance systems. But he also likes to dedicate himself to everything that has to do with video creation in Marketing.

Our History

A lot has happened in the time since we started developing Sodex systems in 2017 and we can look back on many successes and milestones achieved.

February 2018

The idea of an autonomous excavator was born and the first concepts and tests were implemented on a model excavator. The fascination for the idea of an autonomous construction machine grew!

March 2019

A good year after the initial idea and the first drafts, we received a 2.5t excavator as a prototype from the Huppenkothen company. Still far from its conversion, it was presented to the public for the first time this month at com:bau 2019 in Vorarlberg.

March 2020

A year later at com:bau 2020, we were able to present our prototype again at the HTL Rankweil stand. The progress was clear to see, a few simple movements could already be carried out autonomously!

May 2020

One of the most successful months in the history of Sodex. Here we were able to secure first prize in Jugend Innovativ (Austria’s largest ideas competition) and AUTstanding. In addition, we were nominated for the TÜV Science Award. From a technical point of view, however, the first autonomous lifts of our prototype were a real sensation. You can watch the video here!

September 2020

Sodex entered one of Austria’s biggest stages in autumn 2020 on the programme “2 Minuten 2 Mentoren” – a spin-off of “2 Minuten 2 Millionen”. There, we successfully convinced Armin Strbac of our idea and won him over as a mentor.

July 2021

Another big step was being accepted into the AWS Pre-Seed Programme – a high-tech grant that enabled us to secure financial support for further developments.

September 2021

Since 02.09.2021 Sodex is the company Sodex Innovations GmbH with the founders Bernhard Gantner, Raphael Ott and Ralf Pfefferkorn (managing director). The idea became a project and now a start-up. In addition, our mentor Armin Strbac and Dr. Katharina Klausberger – the founders of the flea market app Shpock – have taken a stake in Sodex Innovations GmbH and are now continuing to accompany us as investors.

December 2021

We successfully completed our participation in the i2b business plan competition with third place in the technology category and collected a lot of valuable feedback for our next steps.
